Setting clock on krups toaster oven

Krups has one manual for the FBC2, FBC3 and FBC4 models. Start here: http://www.krups.com/Consumer+Services/Product+Support/Manuals/Use+Intructions.htm and use the drop-down menu on the left to select Toaster Ovens. Then select the FBC2. • When the oven is first plugged in "12:00" appears on the display.

• Press the "Timer" button twice. The display will begin to blink "12:00".

• Adjust the time in steps of one minute by pressing the "+" or "-"

buttons.

• If you hold the button pressed down for more than 6 seconds, the

time will change quicker.

• Press the "Timer" button to enter the time in the system.

If you do not press the "Timer" button, the time will be
entered automatically after 30 seconds.

Most of the time a hardware store will have a variety of springs or try home depot.
That's if you only don't want to wait for a manufactors spring.

check the resistance of the plug by turning the timer and temperature switch, if there's no resistance, open your unit and check the resistance of thermal fuse which is connected to line wire. it is look like resistor..if the thermal fuse is ok then check the resistance of heating element..

I own the exact same toaster oven. Can't locate the manual. Also,
tried to set the time,which was off by 2 hours,and no luck,either.
Try to Google the instruction manual pdf. Good luck.

I would call Cuisinart - this one has a 3-year warranty, and all they would need is a serial number, not the receipt. Do any of the lights turn on? When you pressed clock, did you hold in the hours button?

Fusible link inside the unit is probably broken.

returned it to vendor and asked for exchange.  decided no way I should fix it after less than 5 days of use.  Curious if others have encountered a similar problem.
