I'm sorry to say that the belt is toast and needs to be replaced. I would also check the end caps I believed it is a one piece unit that the belt tension bolt is attached and the left side had cracked and cause this problem. Lifestyler Expanse 800 Treadmill.. What is weight of Lifestyler expanse 800 please?

The manual says you need to be able to lift 40 lbs safely to raise of lower the treadmill running platform, I I would guess twice that to physically lift it. The weight limit for a person using it is 250 lbs

We just bought a gently used Lifestyler Expanse 1500 treadmill today; it turns on & runs nice & smoothly...until we walk on it. When we start walking on it, it wants to slow down & we feel like...

From the manual: Troubleshooting
Symptom: The walking belt slows when walked on
a. If an extension cord is needed, use only a 14-gauge general purpose cord of five feet or less in length.
b. If the walking belt is over-tightened, the treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be permanently damaged. Remove the safety key and UNPLUG the power cord. Using the 3/16" allen wrench, turn both rear roller adjustment bolts counterclockwise. 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each side of the walking belt 3-4 inches off the walking platform. The center of the walking belt should just touch the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Plug in the power cord, insert safety key and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
c. If problem persists, contact customer service.

I have a LifeStyler Expanse 1500 treadmill. It appears to start normally, but when you get on it, it starts to speed up. For example, when the speed is set to 2.9 and you get on, it will speed up to 4.2...

You may have a belt and deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the power on stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill) this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant and see if that clear up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time.

On occasion, you may have already damaged the DC board if you have high belt/deck friction. If the belt walks freely, you have a different problem.

Treadmill stuck on run - will not change speeds

Fist off your treademill old and most likely they no longer make the parts. This was a unit sold at sears a longtime ago. Your buttons could be stuck at the top head board. you have to peel cak the membrane to un stick them. If not , then the lower board has blown. No repair for this. no replacement as well. you may to get a new treadmill. You may be able to do one more thing to work around the problem. I need to be paid someting to assist with that.
