I replaced the lamp in my Sharp XVZ200U projector and when I plug it back in the red standby and red lamp light both come on and the projector doesn't power up when I press the on button. Therefore, I can't perform the remaining steps (input, undo, left, enter, and right) to reset the lamp timer to zero.

Hi, Replacing the lamp in a Sharp LCD projector requires the lamp indicator to be reset. When the lamp needs to be replaced, the indicator becomes red. Resetting the counter for the lamp hours to zero will also reset the indicator to green.

There is no problem here, the sharp projectors just do this until you enter the reset procedure. It comes on a sheet with your lamp. they differ from projector to projector. often involves hold down power and some arrows while plugging in the projector - that will reset the lamp timer and you will be away!
While simultaneously holding down (+ . >) and AUTO SYNC on the projector, Press ( I ) ON and ( - . < ) on the projector.
"LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.
NOTE..... Make sure only to reset the lamp timer only when replacing the lamp. If you reset the lamp timer and continue to use the same lamp, this may cause the lamp tp become damaged or explode...
