Hi. it is just yahoo locking your account because somebody tried too many
times to log in, which is what he wanted to do. Sometimes a quick and
easy fix will work, if not then you have to wait 24 hours. I
accidentally locked one of my own accounts for which I was mistyping
the password and after several attempts it locked. The quick fix below
worked for me!
It might be that someone is trying to log in as your user name. When they try about 6-8 different passwords without any luck, Yahoo locks the account automatically for 24 hours to protect your account. Try uninstalling yahoo messenger v.9 and install a previous version instead, or visit the yahoo help and support center: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/helpcentral/
