Flat screen got tapped now the screen is black with white lines.

My 2yr old son tapped our flat screen tv with a plastic bat, after he did that the screen turned black except where the bat hit, there is white lines. The sound still works. Can someone please tell me what I can do to fix the tv also about how much will it cost to fix? Thank You

You post on Craigslist an ad that you sell an LCD TV with broken screen; you put your initial price at $50 and you sell to the highest bidder within say a week.

Then you buy a new TV.

This is your optimal course of dealing with the situation.

My 2yr old son poured his juice down into the front of my LG LED tv and now half of the screen is gray and distorted... Is it possible to dry it out without further damage? Any suggestions?

I would disconnect the power and run hot water down through it several times to dilute the juice residue. Then blow air through it for overnight before re powering it.

There are row and column drivers the operate the pixels on flat screen TVs. A black line either horizontal or vertical indicates a problem with the driver, connector, or the screen itself. It's likely not cost effective to fix being this old.
