That is a plasma and usually power supply board. ebay search your model number. Also look for blink codes on front if it locks up. lastly check for software upgrades for you model thru google

My tv is keep turning itself on and off and my remote has randomly stopped working, ive had the plug out the wall the past 6 hours nd no joy, any ideas? I've put new batteries in the remote 2

Sounds like a power board issue? Dry joints on the main board? Capacitors may have issues.? I would not go opening up the TV if you are not aware of the potential dangers.

I have a Sharp LCD that keeps changing inputs and will randomly turn itself on.

Sounds like you have another infared source that the LCD is seeing. Put opaque tape over the infared receiver and see if the issue continues. Look for another IR device in the area.

My TV keeps turning itself on/off at random times, sometimes it works, then turns itself off, and flashes on and off! Its becoming really frustrating as it seems to only work when it wants to for a short...

This could be caused by poor ventilation on the unit. The back of TV sets where the air vents are usually located are meant to be easily accessible to air. When they do not have enough air then the Tv tends to shut itself down due to overheating when it geths too hot.
Try relocating the TV position to an airy environment.

Turns itself on and off

The unit has a timer function and a Sleep timer function. Have you ensured both of these are not on? If thy are off I would guess that either a button is bad and inducting a control signal to the controller or the controller itself is bad and just randomly is setting on and off times at random.
