Hi........please check that if there is switch in your pendrive..if present turn it other side..if not than follow this steps... 1. download a software from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Hard-Disk-Utils/HDD-Low-Level-Format-Tool.shtml
2.now fromat your pendrive by this software and than scan it for virus ...
hope this will solve your problem

3.type cmd
4.then go drive D:
5.type cacls pendrivepath: /p username:F

6.press Enter
7.then try to del or write file in pendrive

your pendrive is infected with Autorun.inf virus
to remove this virus install malwarebytes and scan your whole system as well as your pendrive

If the above method is not work

try to format in other operating system like vista or in 7
but not in xp because in vista and 7 you can force format your pendrive..

I have a 8 GB transcend pendrive when inserted to any poet it is detected but cant be opened nor formatted pls help.

there should be a slide bar/tab that needs to be moved from the locked or protected phase. Make sure it is in the unlocked position and try again.

Pendrive Transcend 8GB JFV10 error message "Disk is Write Protected"

Think this write protection error is due to some virus.
Steps to remove write protection for Transcend users
1) Go to download center of the transcend,here is the link
http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter
Type the model no. or part of model number you are looking for.
example: JFV30(all alphabets in Caps )
2) Choose other details like product type etc. and search for your product
3)Then select the product which which is most similar to yours from search results
4)Then download the mFormat utility. You will asked for serial no. if you dont have..enter this no. 1456784523
5) Connect your pen drive
6) run the mformat utility and select full format after full format your write protection will be removed. try twice or thrice if you can't correct at first time.
Thats all...

It worked for me and my friends....

Other pen drive users may visit there vendors site and download any fromat utility present there for your model.

Transcend 16GB Pendrive - error while copying

If your drive is partitioned with FAT32 then it cannot copy larger files. You have to format it using NTFS.
