Wont work I have a Maytag central air thats about four years old. Once in a while it would stop blowing really cold air and would just blow mildly cool air. What I would do to fix this is flip the breaker off and then flip it back on again. When I did this the "high cool" light would come back on and everything would work just fine. This time that solution wont work. I have left it off for an hour at a time multiple times. I played with every switch and checked and cleaned every filter. We live in Minnesota and only use our central air now and then for three months out of the year. Yesterday is the first time I turned it on since last year. It was working fine then I came home from work and it was hot in my house even though the central air was running. There is a switch on the warm-flo panel that says "This switch must be down for cooling" and it is . All the lights light up like "gas call" and "hp ready" every one except "high cool". Any advice anyone can give me would be very helpful. Sincerly Jessica

SOURCE: AIR CONDITIONER COMES ON BUT DOES NOT BLOW COOL AIR

It is possible that your unit needs refrigerant but Before I would have someone recharge it they would have to locate the point of leak and repair it. I would check to make sure it is not some other problem first, like is the compressor operating.

SOURCE: window air cond unit, several years old, doesn't blow as cold

The problem with window units and any service tech will tell you it cost more to repair than you can buy at Walmart or home depot. Unless you know someone who can charge it for you. Window units are a sore subject. A 200 dollar window unit might cost 200 dollars to charge system. SORRy rusty

One of two things has happened. Either your coolant has gotten really low (easy enough to check) or you heater core is starting to plug up.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

Maytag pav2300 wont stop filling up. New timer

After the water fill, Switch off the mains, allow little water bleed through the hose that goes to the level switch. As the water flows try fixing into the level switch block.

Clean the water drips to dry and switch on the m/c. It should be alright since you say that the switch is OK when air is blowed!

My Maytag dryer does not get hot. It is about 4 years old and has been working great. Suddenly, it has stopped getting hot. The clothes tumble but there appears to be no heat. Air is blowing out the...

Sounds like heating coil is burned out which is not uncommon for four years. On Maytag it is usually a relatively simple fix because the front of the dryer is the access pannel for the repair. On mine there were two screws located down low and once removed the front popped off and coil was right there in front. the item can be picked up at an appliance repair supply center. Check the coil before you by because it could also be a defective themmostat but 99% of the time it is the coil.

Running fine but blowing warm air

"it seems to work fine but will not get cold"
Not sure how it can work fine and is not cold. When you say work fine, is the light on and the freezer fan blowing but is the compressor running?

Unplug the Ref and wait about 30 min or so, plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start running. You should be behind the Ref to hear this. If you don't hear it start running then you may hear a clicking noise. This clicking is a problen with the compressor start relay. If the compressor runs but still is not cold then it could be low on coolant.

20 year old central a/c heater not working

Check your thermostat and mode selector setting, thermostat setting should be set at warmer and mode selector setting should be at low heat or hight this is applicable for manual unit.
If it is a remote control just set the remote to heat mode.
