Maybe the driver cd which you got with the printer doesn't have windows vista suppot, did you check online on http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi for the driver. If not please goto the click on the link above. once you are on the site please choose search by model number type x4270 then the next screen would appear automaticly, select operating system as windows vista..you would see the program for install, save the file to disk and run the istallation. It would solve your problem 99.99% if still not do let me know the problem would surely help.
There is no driver for vista from lexmark..
But if u want the xp thn download it from here
Just try once installing it on ur laptop it may work
if not, u have to wait untill they release yhe driver for it..
