The inside of those units are made of galvanized steel. They start to rust out after 2-3 years. I know because I have one. If you have the model with the water pump there is an inline filter before the pump that will get clogged with rust. I thought it was a quality unit but it is ****!

Why is my Kenmore Energy Star 50 pint model 251-50501012 dehumidifier leaking water after I disconnected the drain hose

If you reconnect the drain hose, make sure that it lays flat from the dehumidifier and into the sump pump hole. I did that and it solved my problem of water leaking onto the floor.

Kenmore 54351 Dehumidifier is leaking -- water isn't going into the tray, but seems to be leaking out into the floor.

Mine is doing the same thing. The bucket is dry and the floor is flooded, so it is not an inability to condense, and it is not that the bucket has overflowed, and the bucket does not have a leak. It had been working great and then this suddenly started happening, it's as if the water is not flowing along the proper route and instead is gathering behind the bucket.

Amana D965e-e dehumidifier leaking

I encountered a similar problem (using the bucket, but still getting water leaking onto the floor) with my 970E-E. The problem is a design flaw. If the bucket is not firmly pressed into the dehumidifier, there is a slight air gap between the bucket and the dehumidifier on the left side. Within the gap, warm moist environmental air cools. Water condenses in the gap and pools up at the bottom of the bucket shelf, eventually spilling over onto the floor. You can check and see if this is your problem by pulling out the bucket and inspecting for droplets along the left side of the bucket shelf. My solution was the bungie the bucket into the shelf firmly so that there is no air gap.

Danby Dehumidifier DDR7009REE leaking water, bucket not full

Hi there,
The unit may need cleaning. You can contact Danby customer service (1-800-263-2629) to get in contact with a technician.
There may be something clogging the passage to the bucket and the water is finding the path of least resistance.
As well, it is important to remember to clean the filter once a month.

Whirlpool gold dehumidifier leaks water on floor and we do not use hose just the pan, puddles of water on floor.

check your condensation hose for leak or the pan may have a crack in it or it runs too much for the water to disapate

Our Whirlpool gold dehumidifier is leaking water. We have checked the water reservoir and it is in correctly and continues to collect water. But, water is seaping onto our floor from the dehumidifier.

Do you use a hose with your dehumidifier? Could it be leaking? I have two machines in my basement. I use hoses on both. I had to do funny stuff to make the hoses not leak on the plastic 'blown' tanks. Even the cap that originally came with the machines were leaking before I started to use the hoses.

Check for holes in the tank as well.

Change my dehumidifier from draining by hose, to reservoir

I don't have the exact dehumidifier as yours, but on mine it's as simple as removing the hose, then the water fills the reservoir. Does it look like yours will do the same? If so, the hose fitting is also a sensor that will shut the unit off when it is full to avoid leaking onto the floor.

No water collecting, unit running

the collector base under the tubes just collects water and drips it through a hole into the water bucket. there must be a loose hose(if it has one) or the base collector or bucket has a crack, as they usually are plastic. also if the unit is sitting on a very uneven floor this will happen
