This is the problem on Canon MP Pixma Models. Their internal board panel is so sensitive. I have the same printer model, i could not detect what was the problem until I brought to Canon Service Center. They advised me to change the internal control panel board inside. Its quite expensive to replace the said spare part and its not advisable to have it repair and change the spare part. Better to buy a new one rather than to spend more monies on spare parts.

Printer pulls paper in from one corner

this problem occurs only when one side of the paper spooler is jammed and stuck. the spooler pulls the paper causing the paper to rotate inside the printer and getting stuck.

take professional help in clearing the jam and freeing up the spooler.

hello everyone...its just a simple problem....dun worry...1st, u hve to connect ur printer to other computer(not the same pc as u're using now)...then the printer will work fine...after tht..connect ur cable back to the previous computer(1st computer)...then ur printer will be fined!!!!!!!!!!! :) -darkrogue

Canon MP 510 paper jam

I had the same problem and found a small coin in the back feeder. Remove the back coverplate and tip the machine onto its back and give it a good shake. You might be surprised at what falls out.

E3 error on the MP150 is a paper jam error. Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the paper going into the printer and that the feed mechanism doesn't have anyhting in it. Also run a roller cleaning from the printer software.

This is definitely a mechanical problem. You might want to at least partially take the printer appart and inspect it very thoroughly if you haven't done so yet. Did you have any paper jams before? Sometimes when you remove a paper jam the sheet rips and you end up with some shreds of paper lodged in the printer mechanism causing more jams. Another possibility might be cracked or bent paper guides, or simply dirty rollers (these you can clean with alcohol).

I can't scan anything from my MP 460

had probs with scanning at first
1.put doc in scanner
2.push scan
3.choose color or black
4.press scan again
thats what i did works ok

(Mine is the second one down).

The Canon MP270 does seem to have a few problems. It's not one of Canon's finest products, to say the least. It seems to be getting a reputation for problems, problems...

I gave up and bought a HP Deskjet printer instead. I know that's not a fix, but I found it was the best solution!
