Hi.
If the red light is solid, that means that the Roomba is near to full discharge. If the light is flashing red, then the Roomba is completely out of charge.
If the Roomba is fully charged, then there may be a fault.
Here full list of light codes:
Pulsing Amber - Charging
Green - Fully Charged
Amber - Partially Discharged
Red - Almost Fully Discharged
Flashing Red - Fully Discharged"

Hi.
I see my comment received a bad feedback.
I will be grateful if you can change the feedback accordingly.
Goodbye.
Ginko.
Your comment received bad feedback because it isn't the correct answer. The light patterns you listed are for the Power button's Charging Indicator Light. chudaw2005 specifically asked about the Status Light.

First, check the battery. If it is read, you need a new battery. Check the internet they are cheaper.
Second, If the battery lights are green but the status light is blinking red, and your machine turns off after 1-3 minutes. Clean the machine inside and out.
Third, Check to make sure your spinning brush is spinning. If not, unscrew the screw and clean out the hair ball and reattached the same.
Those are the only fixes I know. Good Luck

Take off the grill on the back of the bin. The round vacuum impeller is behind it. Make sure that's clean and free of debris. Run the Roomba with that little grill still off the bin-- is the impeller turning? If yes, you may have fixed it. If not, your Roomba needs a new vacuum bin.

You need to listen to the alarm so that you can determine what Roomba's trying to tell you. The troubleshooting codes can be found here, at iRobot's website: http://tinyurl.com/md2u9p

I was having the same problem. Roomba would run for 30 seconds and then stop. I tried everything -- then I took the small rubber brush out and removed the small nut at the end. It was packed with dust to the point that it could not turn easily. I cleaned it out and now it is working like a champ. I think the automatic shut down was just a sign that there was too much strain to turn the brushes.

Cleaned the shaft that the spinning brushes are connected to. Used an eyeglass screwdriver to remove the brush.

The Charging circuit on the main board is dead. Either replace the main board or repair it if you have the skills and equipment.
