Craftsman DLT 3000 lawn tractor. It won't turn over with a new battery.

Question edited for clarity, 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

Batteries can be new and not be fully charged. Lots of ideas in the link, but test the starter solenoid first.

This battery tells you how to load test a battery, about connection being clean. Also that new batteries aren't always fully charged. He explains the solenoid function

And another good electrical testing video.

Ariens 935 Yard Tractor. Battery fully charged. Why won't it start unless jumped?

Is the battery actually fully charged? A dead cell will kill any power. Try another battery.

My poulan pro lawn tractor won't start. when i turn the key it click's 1 time can you help ?

Have you checked the battery terminal connections? Is the battery charged fully? Are you sitting on the seat when you try to crank the mower? Could be any of the above but most likely battery connection or the battery is discharged or old.

Will not turn over but sounds like it is trying

Hi. Begin by fully charging the battery. If it won't take a full charge, replace it. Once the battery is fully charged it will turn over. Then it should start. If it doesn't start then, get a can of starter fluid and put a couple of squirts into the air filter. J.

I have a sears lawn tractor with a Kholer courage 20 HP. Engine just clicks with the key is turned. Took the battery to have tested and was told the battery is good. But, the tractor will start if I jump...

No, it sounds to me like it is one of the safety switches is a bit corroded, along with a battery that may not be fully charged, you are not getting enough voltage to turn the engine over. What I would first do it disconnect the battery, take apart all connections of the cables, where it mounts to solenoid, where ground cable connects to the tractor, etc. Then put everything back on. Charge the battery, or jump the tractor to get it started and let it run a bit, which will charge the battery. You may need to check wire connections that go to various safety switches, too. Under the seat, where it connects to the transmission, etc. This does not sound like a big problem at all.

Husquavarna tractor battery won"t start engine

YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE SOLENOID IT IS SHORTING OUT AS TO THE GAUGE THEY WILL NEVER MOVE AS THE GENERATOR CHARGES ONLY WHEN THE BATTERY HITS 9 VOLTS THEN IT ACTIVATES TO CHARGE BACK TO 12 VOLTS BUT IN SMALL INCREMENTS
