How to get to the input jack on a bugera 62/62 amp head.

Repairing the input jack on your Bugera 6262 amp head is a task that requires careful attention and technical expertise. If you're comfortable with electronics and have experience working with amplifiers, you can follow these general steps to access and repair the input jack. However, please note that working on high-voltage electronics can be dangerous, and if you're not confident in your abilities, it's best to seek professional assistance.
  1. Safety Precautions:
    • Disconnect the Power: Ensure that the amplifier is completely unplugged from the power source before you begin any work. This is crucial to prevent electric shock.
  2. Gather Tools:
    • You'll need a set of screwdrivers (Phillips and flat-head) appropriate for the screws used in the amplifier's casing.
    • A soldering iron and soldering supplies (solder, desoldering braid, etc.) for working on the input jack connections.
  3. Opening the Amp:
    • Remove the screws holding the amplifier's chassis in the enclosure. These screws are usually located on the rear panel or sometimes underneath the amp. Keep track of the screws and their locations.
  4. Accessing the Input Jack:
    • Once the chassis is removed from the enclosure, you should have access to the internal components of the amplifier. Look for the input jack and its connections on the PCB (printed circuit board).
  5. Repairing the Input Jack:
    • Carefully examine the input jack's connections. If you see any loose or broken solder joints, you'll need to re-solder them. Use a soldering iron to heat the solder joint and apply a small amount of new solder if necessary.
  6. Testing and Reassembly:
    • After repairing the input jack connections, it's a good idea to test the amp's functionality before fully reassembling it. Plug in your instrument and ensure that the input jack is working as expected.
  7. Reassembling the Amp:
    • Once you've confirmed that the input jack is functioning properly, carefully reassemble the amplifier. Make sure to secure all screws and components properly.

WHAT DO IT MEAN FOR MY AMP TO READ DIAGNOSTIC

The diagnostic light, for this particular model, means that there is either a short circuit on the loudspeaker leads or there is an internal amplifier fault that is causing a DC offset. In order to determine which, disconnect all RCA and speaker leads while keeping the +12 volt, power ground and remote leads connected. Now turn the amplifier back on, and if the diagnostic LED lights up, the amp has an internal fault. If not, plug the RCA cables back in and reset the amp. If it goes into diagnostic now, the problem is with the input (either bad cables or a faulty head unit). If the amp is fine with the RCA cables plugged in, repeat the process with the speaker cables (one at a time). When you plug in the faulty speaker wire it will put the amp into diagnostic mode.

I have a 1400 watt cruch amp & i hooked it up myself. when i turn the radio on the power wire on the amp comes on, bt if the audio cords are hooked up, the protection light comes on. if i dnt hook the...

Should the amplifier go into protect mode, simply disconnect all RCA and speaker leads, while keeping +12 volt, power ground and remote leads connected.

1. Now turn the amplifier back on, and if the diagnostic LED lights, the amplifier has an internal fault.

2. If not, plug the RCA cables back, and reset the amplifier. If it goes into diagnostic now, the fault lies in the input, either with bad cables or source unit.

3. If the amplifier seems fine with RCA cables plugged in, connect the speakers, one at a time, and if one of the speakers or its wiring is faulty, it will activate the diagnostic
system.

I have sony TA-V715 amplifier, one set of (cd, phono, tape)input-red colour cable input is not working. Please give me a solution.

The possibility is that one of your premap input is not working and the fault could be in the preamp input section. Possible that the input IC, the selector digital IC or the tone amp could be faulty. It will be easier to find as one section is working and you can cross check with voltage readings from teh working side. Also apply the audio test from the output to confirmt he section, replace from the working side to confirm the fault. I hope you have checked on the speakers/ ouputs by crossing. Also check for fuse or failure of the output section. Hope you try and confirm.Good day .

Fault must be in preamp, I got it wrong! TEAC A-H300

Just curious, what preceded this? Sudden spontaneous failure with no manual action associated? Is the Tape Monitor activated?

I don't know how valuable your speakers are but you're hitting them with max power and distortion when you get that bang. I'd use cheap headphones for the troubleshooting phase.

I request a schematic diagram of crown power amp CE2000 2-Channel

The surface mount ic= MC33079D , 14 pin quad low noise op amp is likely at fault, IF the amp is NOT showing a fault light. A LM324D surface mount will
also work in a pinch. It's located on the input pcb attached to the input jacks.

McIntosh MA6100 integrated Amp Phoho input crackiling

These units are capacitor coupled between stages. It sound to me like one or more of those caps are defective. There is an extra stage of amplification for the Phono inputs. Check the phono pre-amp section for defective caps. Dan

Broke ******** in amp input

If the center conductor of the RCA plug broke of inside the RCA jack of the amplifier, you may be able to push it out from the back. If that's not possible, you may have to remove the jack from the board, disassemble it and then push the center conductor out. If you send me a photo of the jack, I may be able to offer more suggestions.

Low Audio

You need to connect the turntable to a PHONO input on your amplifier. Not all amplifiers have a phono input, if yours doesn't you need to get an RIAA pre-amp to plug your deck into & this connects to your amplifier.

This is because although the audio outputs on the turntable look the same as all the other components, they are very different. The signal has not been amplified up to line-level like tuners, CD players, tape decks, etc. You need to get this thin, weak signal boosted.

Your 3 options are:

* Connect directly to the PHONO input on your amplifier if you have one. If you don't:
* Connect deck to a RIAA amp (also called a phono stage) then connect to any input EXCEPT phono on your amplifier
*Connect the deck to a DJ mixer then hook the mixer up to any input on the amp EXCEPT phono.

Connections

Follow these; 1-Get an Xbox 360 HD cable (see the picture1 below) 2-Connect the red and white plugs to one of your amplifier's empty inputs. 3-Connect the VGA plug to the LCD directly By following these instructions you'll be able to get surround sound from your amplifier as long as you keep it turned on. 2nd solution could be that; (if you have some other equipments connected to the amplifier such as dvd, cd, etc.) 1-Get the above-mentioned HD Cable and get a VGA to S-Video adapter (a small piece of equipment) 2-Do the same thing as mentioned in the 2nd above 3-This time, you're gonna select a VIDEO INPUT (video1, video2,etc.) on your amplifier's input selector. Affix the VGA plug of your HD cable to the S-Video adapter, and connect it to an empty S-Video input slot at the back side of the amp. 4-Get a simple RCA cable or a digital coax cable (up to you) to make a connection between the "monitor out" slot of the amp. and the "video in" slot of the LCD. It's important that which video input you've selected in your amp. to make this connection. For instance, if you choose "VIDEO 1", you will have to connect all plugs (Audio and Video) via VIDEO 1 slots. Good luck
