When I am connecting my Samaung Digital model S860 with PC having Windows Xp (Profectional) via USB cable, nothing is happening at PC screen. Also I don't have driver CD with my camera. Please sen

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

A Sumsung S860 camera & havin a hard time finding usb driver

you do not need to download the drivers when you have an XP , the unit is suppose to be plug and play for Windows

try this

>turn the unit OFF
>CONNECT the unit to your PC
>TURN the unit ON
>a selection should be displayed
>pick COMPUTER
>the computer should detect the unit as a REMOVABLE DEVICE
>open REMOVABLE DEVICE
>open DCIM folder
>there should be folders inside DCIM named SSCAM100, SSCAM 101, ....
>your pictures should be inside those folders

*each folder consist of 100 pictures that you have taken

S860

you do,not need a driver to tranfer pictures from camera to pc,first make sure you turn camera on,highlight the words camera, click ok on your camera.the download should start,if it does,nt start you need some kind of print programs.they should help you access your pictures, also if the computer recognizes the camera as removable media. you can go to my computer, right click on it,click open and look for pictures.good luck. hope i helped

I need to download a driver for S860

The computer does not talk to the phone,it only see the card that is in the camera.

So a card must be in the camera for the computer to see it.
It only uses a usb driver to see the card, so xp and vista should see it. After you plug in the camera windows will pop up a little window
and say something, like, found new hardware, installed, could not install.

If you go to the website of samsung, you will see that the only driver they have is for win 98, that is because it only uses a usb driver like I said, and xp and vista already use these drivers.

Hey

in almost any case, you shouldn't need additional software to copy pictures from your camera. If you're using windows XP or newer, just plug in the USB cable and turn on your camera. A new drive letter should appear under your start menu--> "my computer".
probably named "removable disk G:" or maybe a different letter.
double click in there and voila. your pictures are in a folder somwhere in there, in a subfolder.

PC wont see my Panasonic NV-DS50

Generally when you connect the camera via USB Windows XP and Vista activate native drivers and the camera becomes visible under "My Computer" (XP) or "Computer" (Vista) as a removable drive. However, probably will not be visible by capture software. In that case you would need to use a DV interface cable otherwise known as firewire and have the camcorder in playback mode.
