Mine just did the same thing on the same day, same tv. we bought ours from Walmart exactly one year ago and after spending time on internet, i have found that alot of us with the same tv have had same problem with no avail from RCA company or walmart. i can't get help from anyone and am ready to scream. Good luck. Others have told me that they have had repair man out and said that it was a malfunction is some type board that he has seen over and over in this tv and he advised to just buy another tv because it was too costly and the problems were going to keep coming with this specific model

I shut the tv off last night and now it won't turn

If total dead (no lights on blinking etc) follow power cord into the set and find and check the main fuse--in this set it usually is a glass 5 amp fuse.

Hi My wife was watching our 2002 Panasonic CT36SX12CF model t.v last night, all of a sudden there was a pop noise and the screen went black. The tv would not turn on again. Any ideas what the problem...

hey Al more than likelly it was the fuse that popped if you take the back panel off the fuse is next to the power cord and should take a 6.3 amp 125-250 volt fuse

Mitsubishi WD-52525 was working fine and now it will not turn on

This is just a shot - but it worked with my Sony (same problem).
Pressed remote power on button AND held Power button on TV on at the same time.

Set clicked 4 or 5 times and then came on....

Other, most have a (VERY small) reset switch on the rear - near where the power cord enters the TV... Use a flashlight and a mirror to locate it on your set....

The tv willnot power up .the light keeps flashing and huming

Check the horizontal output transistor (H.O.T.) next to the flyback transformer. If it is shorted, the switching supply won't turn on.

No power

I'm having a very similar problem, basically its a fuse that is blowing out, I think the transformer is sending too much power it's way.

Red blinking led

My 42" Philips LCD did the same red blinking sequence last night. All was seemingly fine after unplugging it for a bit. An online search, though, has me worried that this may be the start of (potentially fatal) power supply issues. Anyone have a clue what that sequence means?

I've got one week left on my 1yr waranty, so I'm a bit concerned! :(

Thanks!
