I will never buy a Kenmore again. Water does not dispense. It is only 1 1/2 years old!I will never buy a Kenmore again. Water does not dispense. It is only 1 1/2 years old!
Mine dispenses water, but not the ice. The screwdrive mechanism for moving the ice forward works, but the clear wheel spins too freely to capture the ice and push it into the dispenser or crusher areas.Mine dispenses water, but not the ice. It sounds like your auger is jammed. Pull out the ice bin a nf see if you can turn it by hand. If not, dump all the ice out and what doesn't come out, melt it with hot water. You probably have ice that melted together which is jamming the auger or an ice cube is in the perfect spot to jam the auger.
Below is a fix by another owner of your make and model for the same issue. Pulled out ice bucket; tried ice dispenser with door latch pressed in and solenoid engaged and motor moved. Tried again and nothing (couple of times). Tried water...all good...good closure of dispensor flap (air pot operated). Opened dispenser (pried off carefully from bottom on this unit not to take off the glued part) and saw the micro-switch broken off of the ice dispenser side. Checked micro-switch (all good). Replaced control bracket...all good to go.
Look for an ice cube lodged in the fingers IM. Get a hair dryer and melt that dude. No ice cube? Add some water to the IM mold. If it kicks out some ice but makes no more then you is gonna need a water valve. If it don't kick out no ice then you is gonna need a ice mold thermostat. Either one is very easy and cheap to fix. let me know Kimosabe.
THis happened to mine last year. The part you need is #628366 Motor - Module. Sorry That is what i had to do, but i had to pay a repair man to find the problem. Hope this helps.
Should be no longer than 24hrs. Is the freezer good and cold.. has to reach a certain temp before icemaker activates.
Might take little longer if you put a lot of warm things in freezer or refrig. when you made the change.
Is there any water or ice in the icemaker itself? Water may not be getting to icemaker
call them back out if it dont work soon thats what warrantys for :0)
