You need a driver for the flash drive to work in Win98. You can download it here:

http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=393499707811d1cd9a955402f23 - if your win98 computer is connected to the internet use it to download the file, then your flash drive will work

IMac won't read Imation 160GB Apollo 2.5

Mac's won't read windows format disc, even if it's capable of reading the files wich I believe Newer Mac Operating Systems CAN DO, it can not read the file SYSTEM used to place them on the disc. You need a third computer. Put the files on a nother computer or two if you need the room or on another media or pocket drive. Use a program that VERIFIES the were moved without errors while copying them, the use the Mac to format the now empty disc drive and download Mac Pooler, or File Stuffer, and copy the files back onto the disc. Now the Mac will be able to read the drive they're on.

Transfer files from one computer to another

The easiest way is to have something like an external hard drive or usb flash drive then copy the files from the old computer and then take the usb flash drive or external drive and and plug it into the new computer and copy the files to it.

You will be using the concept of copy and paste or drag and drop to get the files.

You can only copy things such as your documents, music, pictures and videos. You cannot copy programs from one computer to the other, programs have to be reinstalled so that they can update the registry and other settings in windows to work.

The majority of your documents, music, pictures and videos will be in your MY DOCUMENTS folder.

My louck flash is formated and now i can not use the space what do i do?

Your Imation Swivel Flash Drive comes formatted and ready to use right out of the box.
If you will be using the drive exclusively with Macintosh computers, do not format the Imation Swivel Flash Drive. The formatting message appears if your Macintosh has not yet been set up to read Windows-formatted files. Refer to your Mac's user manual to learn how to enable Windows file read functionality.
Also, be aware that when you format your Imation Swivel Flash Drive with NTFS, you will not be able to store as much data as your would without formatting. The format file used by NTFS will use some of the available space on the Flash drive - for instance, on a 128MB Imation Swivel Flash Drive, you may lose up to 8MB to the NTFS format files.

How do I format my Imation USB 2.0 Swivel Flash Drive in Windows? Your drive must be set up as a single public partition, since neither Windows Explorer nor the Macintosh OS will recognize a password protected partition.
To format the drive in Windows:
  • Go to My Computer
  • Locate the corresponding drive letter for the Swivel Flash drive (i.e. removable drive F)
  • Right click
  • Choose Format from the menu
A dialog box will come up and allow you to format your Swivel Flash Drive. Depending on your operating system, you can choose to format the drive in FAT, FAT32, or NTFS.

How to I remove or resize a partition on my Imation Swivel Pro Flash Drive? To resize or remove a secure partition, you will need to do the following:
  • Open the Flash Manager software on your hard drive
  • Choose Create a partition
  • Move the slider to zero (0)
Why don't I see a drive letter for my Imation Swivel Flash Drive?

This problem occurs if you map a network drive to the first available drive letter following the drive letters for the local volumes and CD/DVD drives. When you install a new device or volume, a software called Mount Manager tries to assign drive letters to the new volumes. But since the software does not recognize mapped drive letters, it assigns the next available local drive letter to the new device. This causes a collision with the existing mapped network drive.
Since the problem is related to your Microsoft operating system, they are your best source for resolving this issue. For more information, click here.

How do I get all my old info, pics, documents and all stuff saved from my old desk top computer compaq presario 5700n windows 98 second edition so i can put it on my lap top, my flash drive won't work on...

Take the hard drive out and get someone knowledgeable to put it in their system as a slave drive. Then plug your flash drive into their system and copy all the files to it. I'd say this is the fastest and easiest solution to the problem. You could always network it to another computer and transfer the files also.

Try to put the files directly in the Music folder inside My Computer>Player device, from the flash drive, just to be safe make sure they are in mp3 or wma file format also.
