Pls go to Device Manager and expand Imaging Devices.
Check if your webcam is detected under Imaging Devices.
If it is not listed under Imaging Devices, Then check if there is any other category 'Other Devices'.
If you find the webcam under Other Devices, uninstall the webcam and restart, the computer.
If that doesnt work, then you can try a System Restore or else format the computer.
If you dont find the webcam anywhere in the Device Manager, then there is a hardware failure with the webcam.

Your modem might be faulty, Try it in another pc. If it doesnt work there get it replaced.

If you are trying to connect to a free WiFi network site try the Airport. Macdonalds, Starbucks etc.
The wireless networks in your area are most likely private wireless networks and if you find one within wireless range you most likely cannot connect into this network without the owner's permission because the connection will be encryption protection (they would need to give you this encryption key).

Click on Download Now to download the WebCam Companion® 3 Software and run the setup.

NOTE: Unfortunately the driver supports only Microsoft® Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

i have the same problem and acer arent very good wither they just told me to ring a number is your laptop on windows 7 as well becuase its frustrating me very badly. >:/ have you found a solution if so let me know

i hv HP dv6000 and facing same promlem. B.coz its my field, so I tried myself to solve it.

Then I found that: If I try to use cam after using it in QuickPlay then it will not work.

So to work with web cam in yahoo messanger, just re-boot your lap and then (don't try to use it with any another software like QuickPlay etc), just goto Yahoo Messanger and use it, atleast it will work first time after boot.
