Stoves 720 / 900 GRa GR DO gas electric dual fuel oven

Hi,

My dual fuel oven does not work - i operate it as i usually would but i find now that the fans rotate but there is no ignition and no flame to be seen as usual. The grill does not work either, yet the oven still blows air and operates it usually would but with no ignition and no gas? This is an intermittent problem as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

Please help!

Many thanks

Yes, I have the same problem also, it appears to be indicating there is a problem with the colour lights, I can also only turn on the top or bottom and not both at the same time, i.e. the fans spin on either the top or bottom but not both. Also of note is the lights on the dials are red on the left hand knob and flashing on the right. This according to the manual indicates something, however its not specific on what its indicating......

Our oven had the same fault.

It turns out that the air intake was blocked.

The air intake is at the front, just below the bottom oven door. Some liberal sucking with a hoover sorted the problem instantly.

Oven temperature not working

An oven that is not heating up and that won't heat up is usually the result of an igniter being faulty for a gas ovens or heating elements for an electric ovens. If both your gas oven and your gas burners have stopped working then the problem is most defiantly with the gas line and will have to be fixed from someone that repairs ovens and stoves.

No heat from fan oven

If the fan is working o/k, and the oven is not gas, then it will be the electric oven element that needs to be replaced.
They are usually located behind a removeable cover at the rear of the oven compartment.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback for my solution.
Thanks.

Ignition wont stop while oven is working

Egnition is a push button to a spark generator, If this is electric, the obvious answer would be turn off the electric. This should not affect the gas unless if is temp controled by electric. Usually the temp is set gy a gas regularor controlled with a knob and set before gas is ignited.

How does the q900 works

I do not know either but I would be tempted to turn off the gas, but keep the electric to the oven, and use a plastic Knitting needle to find out. It should show on a display somewhere.

Cant work oven!

I have the Stoves 720EF manual stored on the BT Digital Vault which might help. If you want a copy of it, supply an email address and I will give it access.
Also someone else has said that if you speak to Stoves nicely they may be able to send an electronic version of the manual instead of the paper copy.
