Got to "Account" on the top right of your Facebook page and
select "Edit friends". Click on "All connections" on the left column.
You will see the list of all your friends. To delete the one you do not
want anymore,or "unfriend" you just have to click on the cross icon that's on the same
line as the name (next to "add to list")--It's a delete icon. If you
mouse over it should actually say "Remove connection". Hope that helps.

Hover over the Friends button at the top of their profile
Select Unfriend

Go to that person's timeline and go to the tab that says Friends. Hover over it and it should say Unfriend at the very bottom of your list of options. :)
When you hover your cursor over their name a menu will appear. Move your cursor over where it says Friends and another menu will appear. At the bottom of the menu that appears, left click on Unfriend. Or go to their facebook wall\ You will see their profile picture and name. To the right of that you will see FRIENDS in a box and then MESSAGE in a box shared with GIVE GIFT and the icon for account settings.
Hover over Friends or click it and you will see a menu with Unfriend at the bottom of the list click the Unfriend
If your problem is other peoples' status updates and actions appearing in your feed (homepage), you can unfriend them or hide posts from them.
To unfriend: Go to the profile of person that you want to remove, scroll down, until you get to the "Unfriend" link.
To hide: Go to the post that you don't want to see, and click on the "x" at the upper right corner of the post, a menu will pop up. Click on "Hide all by --".
