Sounds like the unit is not finishing the conversion, it can be painfully slow. best is to convert into mp3 on a pc, then transfer. I use WACHandler from www.lucia-mathias.com/wacs, it is excellent, much better than philips software, and enables you to get music back from centre to pc, also does ripping etc and maintains sync records of music on pc and centre.

After the MP3 songs are transferred from the PC to the Music Center via DMM, do not disconnect the power cord. The Center is updating its internal database to mark the changes of music library. Wait for around 20 minutes to let the Center update the database completely. When the internal updating is complete, you will be allowed to turn the Center into ECO Standby mode.

How do I put music from my computer (or directly from CD via computer) onto my Colby mpc683?

  • As far as the music on your PC
  1. First insert your MP3 player into a USB port on your PC.
  2. Now put your mouse arrow over the MO3 you want to send to your MP3 player and either
  3. Right click on your mouse and then "send" (left click) the file to your MP3 player. or
  4. You can also open the MP3 player up in devices and drag the MP3 file you want to put onto your player and "drop" the file into your player.
  • As for music on a CD you just need to
  1. Copy the CD to your computer first.
  2. Format each song you want to put on your MP3 player to an MP3 format.
  3. And then follow the above instructions to get the file onto your MP3 player.
  • If you need a MP3 converter you can find them on the net for free everywhere and if you run Windows7 then windows essentials has an MP3 converter already.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

I bought a Touchscreen MP4 Player + Video Camera 8GB from Hong Kong and i cannot figure out how to upload music onto it. It doesn't use iTunes, it uses Windows Media Player. Can you help me get music onto...

Most of the Hong Kong MP3/4/5 and even 6 players merely require plugging them into the computer via a supplied USB cable. You would then merely click on "My Computer" and the player should show up as a hard drive. If you double click on this drive, you may see a folder labeled "MUSIC". If so, just drag and drop your MP3 music files into this folder. Similarly do the same goes for VIDEOS and PICTURES. The exception being that MP4 players usually require videos to be converted to RM or RMVB format (MP5 players usually play most formats without conversion).

Burning cd's

Hi,
Sure you can.
But when you download music, it will be in a compressed Format. Usually MP3 Or WMA.
To enable it to work Correctly In Any Logical CD Drive Or Player.
You Have To Convert The Downloaded Music Files To The WAV File Format. Otherwise the music will only be recognised on A PC Or MP3 Or MP4 Player.
