Why does my Lcd tv keeps switching itself off after just a minute !!!!
I does show a flashing red led on the panel for a few seconds after an i am unable to find the users manual to give me an answer

I had prob where my sony would switch off for a few secs thenh come back on . The solution was in menu / tv settings / sleep timer . Go into that and make sure its set to off. there are opions for off , 5 min 20 min 30 min etc... mine was set to nothing just blank.

I was lucky to fix mine, today. Yours could be same. Here it is:
1. turn off your TV then remove your antena
2. Turn on your TV. You will see your screen, now. Write down existing chanel on the screen (just for reference).
3. Switch to chanel 9.1 (no picture at this time). Plug antena to TV, you have picture and sound.
4. Scan your TV chanel, again. Enjoy your TV. If you do not scan the chanel. You may get back to bad chanel by accident.
***The last chanel that you wrote down gone. It caused problem***

I am having the very same issue with the exact same tv, it occasionally works and the green power light will come on and then the stanby light just flashes, without a picture ever coming on.
my 52 inch tv does not work either. No picture comes on, but it turns on, then turns itself off and the red standby light flashes.

I have same problem. I own it just one year. I watch it not more than 5 hours a week.
