at leas 15 yrs old??? think it's done its time, its a great machine andwould reccomend replacing with a whirlpool/kenmore unit again.no tworth servicing in my opinion, average call here in new york 150-225, anbd those are for simple issues. id rather put money into new unit! bit be sure to check your venting id say 85% of dryers taking too long to dry are vent related issues

You first shoul check the belt to see if it is not broke or twisted. If not then your motor is heating up and thios causes it to stop. a new motor would be your problem.

If all of the components are reading ok then you need a timer. Touch your 2 leads together. 0 ohms rght. That means you have a complete circuit. If you get the 0 reading then the element must be otay. Bad timer. Take that fancy meater of yours and atttach one of them leads to the timer leg marked RH. Yank the wire off the terminal beore you test. Move the timer around. You should get the famous 0 reading along the way. If you don't then that means you have the bad timer.

vent pipe kinked not letting heat away from dryer, check vent , or the thermostt stuck and not cycling heating element cycle off

sounds like your motor is overheating or going bad. sometimes lint built up around the motor can cause it to overheat. or the motor is dying.
