Bissell ProHeat Clear won't spray from floor nozzels but it does stray from hand cleaner

My Bissell 1699 stopped straying from the floor nozzels but it will spray from the handheld nozzel. I noticed the red tank level indicator no longer rises when the tank is full (I am ordering a new tank). Would this keep the floor sprayers from working and still allow the hand sprayer to work? I hope to have the new tank shortly but I am curious to know if the pump could be bad ( I don't think so or the hand sprayer might not work).

Thanks,
Steve

Thank you very much for the tip. I had the unit apart at one point and noticed the heater so I will try your tip to see if it works for me. I will let you know the results.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I shot some air through the heater unit with my compressor (very lightly) and it did the trick. The unit is up and running again. Thank you very much for the advice!

Vacuum doesn't pick up powder on the floor. It feel as though it has suction power when I put my hand to the nozzel.

I agree - just got done fixing 1 of these tonight. The heater plugs up and no spray. Easy Fix, the heater is in the handle and pretty easy to remove. then a straightened paper clip and a blast of air and you should be go to go.

Usually when the hand tool works ok, then the heater inside the handle asm. is clogged. The water bypasses the heater when you use the hand tool. Other then that it could be a bad pump.

If you use air to blow it out after it is unclogged, don't use too much pressure, if you do, you may blow the lid seal.

Same Bissell 9500 cleaner. Hand piece works fine, but cant spray water / cleaner when doing the floor. I've made sure the rollers are working and taken my air compressor on low psi and blown back to make sure the floor spray lines are clear...

Going to take apart and check the pump today.

Still looking for help! Thanks

My Bisell Proheat will not dispense water to the floor but it will dispense through the hand held tool.

check the little nozzle that the water sprays from and see if they are plugged if not your element chamber may need to be cleaned

Water comes out the accessory hose but not the floor cleaner

I had the same problem and the heater ports were clogged. I took apart the top unit and cleaned the ports with miniature bottle brushes used to clean spray painting equipment (purchased at Harbor Freight for $4). Reassembled and the unit worked fine.

Model 1699-1 ProHeat Clearview Plus -water and cleaner do not dispense when using trigger on handle. The turbobrush hand tool works fine.

When it doesn't dispense water an cleaner like that it means that the pump belt needs to be replaced. Here is a link to the belt you nee and the manual:

Bissell Proheat Clearview water problem

The water comes out the hose at the same time. The diverter only diverts the suction from floor to attachment. If it is constantly spraying there is a problem with the attachment. Is it not spraying on the floor?
