I'm trying to scan and it says check phone line connection.

I don't even have a land line, I use my cell phone. I only use this device to scan and copy. It has been working phone, then all of a sudden it says check phone line connection, which I don't have. I have powered off, then on, even unplugged and plugged back in. Please help.

    I MEANT to say it has been working fine, not phone. Duh.

  • catomaine Apr 05, 2008

    Never mind, I figured it out. I had unplugged the receiver a while back and the scanner had been working fine. I just plugged it back in for the heck of it and now the scanner works. Weird.

I'm not using a land line with my Panasonic KX-TGD560 and only have my cell connected to it via Bluetooth. How do I clear the "Check Tel Line" message since I'm not using a "Tel Line"?

Check Tel Line means that the phone is not getting a dial tone. Unless you connect the KX-TGD560 base to a RJ-11 phone cord going to a RJ-11 jack with a working telephone service, this message will continue.

I've never used the cell phone link without having a land line connection. The Link-to-cell option for using the handset on Cell 1 (or Cell 2) may still work. You need to have a compatible cell phone close to the base. The phone needs to be positioned where it gets good signal strength. Test this yourself.

I hope this helps.

My bt4500 is lit up but won't work

that is not HP device,
why not tell what all that is in front of you.
my guess is this device is a home phone connected to land lines.
right? and is acting up and is not HP at all.
have you tested the land line yet with a real old fashion phone?
to see if the land line is even working?, that be first.
we call that a buttt-in-kit, in the olden days. of POTS phones
now mostly dead in USA.
2nd bad, hand set batteries.
3rd , base power pack dead.

we are not hp,
the real HP is here. 100% real, not fake like most the post on our forum are (spam it is or worse)

here they are, HP
zero hits here on phones.......

No dial tone

indicates that the phones are faulty
the land line carries adsl and phone at different frequencies so as the internet is working so the land line is good
check that the internet and phone line is connected into the correct sockets on the line splitter before the land line connection

Panasonic phone says check tel line

Check cable conections from phone box on wall to base unit, make sure that the conectors are fully inserted. If possible plug a different phone into box to make sure that line is working. Hope this helps

I have n 95 china phone i need to use internet connection

You can go on internet via your service provider or if you have an ADSL modem,you can use the WiFi facility on the phone.If you don`t have ADSL,speak to your local land line provider for an ADSL subscription.Nice and handy to have a system like that.You can go on the internet from anywhere in your house or bed,day or night and it costs you only land line subscription.

Constant static and noise on the cordless, have not had this problem with other phones in the same location. I have tried the frequency scan- no difference. The noise is so bad the cordless cannot be used.

The main causes of Hissing Noise on phone line

* Weather:
Precipitation can leak into phone lines and cause disruptions. Lightning, even at a distance, can damage the connection.
Checked the connections the cable and the Sockets
If you have the Test socket or the First Socket where the Telephone is is entering .. check the Connections there

* Electrical interference:
Check the Power lines,
Check radio or television transmitters, transformers and other electronic devices may causing noise on the phone line.

* Other phone devices:
Check for the Connection to the FAX check by unpluging the FAX Machine or answering machines,
Disconnect the other phones and line splitters --
Disconnect the Splitters or devices that allow two phones to fit on one phone jack -- can cause phone line noise.

* DSL services:
The high-frequency signals coming from DSL (digital subscriber line) devices sharing the phone line can create problems for other technology connected to the line.
Note : high-frequency signals coming from DSL helps for FAST Internet Connection speed which sometime cause the problem to the Phone or Voice signals for this need to contact to ISP to check the Voice margin .. that may effect your internet Speed

IF the above wont work..

You can try keeping the device near Heater .. it could be the Moisture which might causing this issue
or
Show the Device to the Service provider to repair it
