Check electic water inlet valve screen on lower left bottom of dishwaser, follow the inlet water line to locate the valve, turn off power, and water, reremove inlet water hose, and valve hose, check inlet screen for sand, wash as needed. re-assemble in reverse order,
First is water coming into the location and is the valve to the dishwasher open? Next check if the intake hose is bent or squashed. Release the kink blocking water flow.
There is a filter in the intake hose that can get blocked by debris. Turn off the water (at the supply valve) then disconnect the intake hose. Clean the filter. Reconnect the hose and turn the water back on. Check for leaks.
No water intake, may be a defective intake hose valve. Miele calls it, the Waterproof System hose (WPS). However, first shut off your water valve to the dishwasher; disconnect the WPS; and inspect and clean the plastic filter. If the problem persists, then replace the WPS (~$170).
This is common, there may be a flood protection device that tripped in the line or sediment got into the system when the water was turned back on.
First turn the water off to the dishwasher. Take the hose or pipe off at the connection under the dishwasher, put a pan or towels under that open pipe. Slowly turn the water on and flush that line until clear. If no water comes out then you will need to do this but further back 'upstream'.
Once water comes clear, turn the valve off again reconnect the pipe/hose to the dishwasher and very slowly open the valve. If the water does not enter now you have sediment in the water inlet valve on the dishwasher itself and that valve will need replaced.
Check the instruction manual, Smeg often use the program lights to give an error code.
You'll have to first ensure that the valve is open where the supply
gets its water from the sink supply, and water is getting to the
dishwasher. There is a garden hose type swivel adapter after the valve,
right? Close the valve tightly- even if it scrapes the wood - and then
unscrew that hose coupling and see if the hose is full of water. Look
there for a strainer inside the hose that is clogged. Clean it. If that
is good, reconnect and ensure it's tight.Open the valve. Now check the
dishwasher to see if it's getting water. Then at the point where the
hose enters the dishwasher is a spring loaded hose ring coupling,
right? If not, and there's another garden hose adapter, remove that
(after turning off the water again)and see if there's a strainer there.
If water is supplied to the dishwasher okay, then it is probably the
electric solenoid valve inside the base of the dishwasher.
HI thanks for your question. i would look at the water valve . located under the dishwasher. remove bottom plate . replace the water valve thanks the appliance doc
If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:
Water-inlet valve Float switch Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
Water supply to the dishwasher is done through an electromagnet valve, loocated at the water pipe's enterance to the machine. A defect in the valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it, and the valve may leak and drip water into the tub.You can easyly open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from the machine before doing it !!!!! and as well to close water main tap to the machine.
In case cleaning doesn't help, you should replace the valve.
Good luck !!
