The Kitchenaide microwave starts on its own and displays pan. Unplugged it for over an hour, reset the clock and about 10 minutes later it started up and displayed PAN again. Called one service company here in FL and they said it is probably the motherboard? Can't tell if they know what they are talking about since we found some good repair people and some bad in the last few years. Glitch is they will charge $75.00 just to come over whether they can fix it or not. Any suggestions on the problem? We bought this house 2 years ago and all appliances are kitchen aide and we are not happy with any of them, perhaps kitchenaide is made by some off the wall company of a lesser quality?

My Kitchenaide microwave starts on its own and displays pan, runs for 3 mins and then beeps multiple times. I Unplugged it for over an hour, reset the clock and about 10 minutes later it started up and displayed PAN again.
How can I repair this issue?
