Hello. I am installing XP Service Pack 2 on my Desktop and during extraction the Cyclic Redundancy Check problem occurs. Could this be a hardware problem? AQny help will be appreciated. Thanks

The computer is having problem extracting the files from the service pack 2. The file may be corrupted if you are installing it from a CD. This is unlikely a hardware problem.
I suggest you install SP3, this is the latest service pack and it includes SP2.

When I connect my seagate expansion external hard disk 500gb having p/n:9sf2a2-500 in windows xp(sp2) system, found new hardware wizard pops up and when I click next it says Cannot install this hardware....

either an issue with the hard disk, or with your system. Make sure the hard disk has power on it and if you can, it would help to test it on another computer to confirm if it works. If you have ruled out the possibility that it is the hard disk, next is review if the hard disk has system requirements you need to meet. If the requirements are met by your XP SP2 machine, you may try updating the computer's system software/chipset drivers and a BIOS update may also be necessary.

Sanyo VPC-s500 i cant get it to install drivers or find them so i can upload pictures to my computer

The simple solution to this problem is that no drivers are required. This camera is treated as a removable (secondary) drive just as if it was a USB thumb drive or external hard drive.
First go to settings on the camera by rotating the dial to the wrench icon.
Turn the camera on and select Set-Up 2
Select USB
Select PC
Your camera is now ready to use with your computer.
Now plug your camera into your computer and check under My Computer for the drive to show. You can now copy files over to your computer from the camera.
If the drive isn't showing you'll have to go into Disk Management to view it
Disk Management is under Administrartive Tools located in your Control Panel (or Start Menu if you have it set to show there)
Select Administrative Tools
Computer Management
On the left hand side click Disk Management (or on the right click Storage then Disk Management)
Finally you can now Right Click the cameras drive and chose Open
