Reading jvm 102 error rest

Hi, you have to follow the instruction below to correct the jvm 102 error reset problem..
Step 1
Very Important!!!!

It is important to have the following software installed on your computer (at home and at work if you can):
1 - Desktop Manager - Hopefully this is already on your computer, if not click here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

2 - Device Software for your BB - Here is the link for you to get the latest OS for your Blackberry
http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...ll_models.html

3 - Java Commander - You can download it here:
http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...d=5&linkid=452

4 - Backups - You should be creating a backup of your device data regularly, e.g., as often as you update your calendar and/or phone book, or at least once a month. If you do not already have a data backup, you are out of luck (SOL) as your data is gone.

STEP 2
The Process
From Pinstacker JTReeves:

You should be creating a backup of your device data regularly, e.g., as often as you update your calendar and/or phone book.

If or when you get a JVM Error 102/Reset message, do the following:
1. Connect your BB to the computer.
2. Run JL_Cmder
3. Choose option 5, wipe the device. This will delete all files - OS and data - from your BB. The BB screen will show JVM Error 507. This means the BB has no files installed.
4. Using Desktop Manager, reinstall your software. When you run the Application Loader, check all the available boxes.
5. When this process completes, restore your most recent backup file.
You should be back to normal, with the exception of having to reregister OTA or other 3rd party apps. Save their reg numbers in your Memo app so that you have them handy.

JVM Error 102 Reset

You have a commonly reported operating system fault caused by a corrupted file.

To cure it, connect your BB to your host pc using the USB sync lead, and run BlackBerry Desktop Manager (BBDM). If it offers to back up your BB then go ahead.

On your pc, click on Application Loader and then start the Update Software tool. This will search for the latest OS for your machine, and you need to then download and install the update. IIRC, this process may also prompt you to backup your BB but if you did so in the previous few minutes then there's no need.

Your BB will be completely wiped and the updated OS will be installed: once the update is complete BBDM will restore your data from the backup. If the most recent backup is flawed then you can use BBDM to restore an earlier version.

This will fix your problem most of the time, but if not then register yourself on the forums at Crackberry (free) and you will find a number of alternative fixes. In a few rare cases though, the problem is with the hardware itself and then you'll have to get your Bold 9700 replaced under warranty, but only do so as a last resort.

Hopefully you should have your BB working again very shortly with little or no data loss. Please take a moment to rate my answer.

What does JUM error 102 mean on my blackberry?

1. According to rim, the jvm 102 error is caused by a hardware issue....(a suspected 3rd party chip in the ptn)....simply loading hh software is a temp fix. it WILL reoccur again and again, sometimes in only days.

take it to service and repair, once verified that this is the jvm 102 error, they (the s&r dealer) are supposed to give you a refurbished or new ptn. if they have to ship one to you it is supposed to ship within 24 hours. they are also supposed to waive the normal exchange fee of $45.

if they dont do this, call bb supprt from the store and the rep from tier 2 will talk to the dealer and set him straight for you....
2. To fix this error, you will have to simply plug your BB into your PC and run the application loader.

If it is asking you for a password, the old user may have set this via security settings. If you do not know the password, entering it 10 times incorrectly with reset the BB to factory defaults
