I got a new heating element off eBay, it was just a double straight line one like the one already in the metal tube (in the pump). It fit, i wired it up and it works!!

I would like to add that it was an official heating element that i bought and i realise that they are hard to come about. To be honest it may not be the heating filament itself that has the problem, have you tried:

    1) Opening the shell and identifying the heater unit (its at the end of the metal pipe) You will have to unscrew the circuit board and metal pipe to access the unit.
    2) In the heater unit there are live (x2) neutral and earth wires.
    3) The first live wire you need to identify is the one coming from the mains. It will be going into a water flow switch covered by a white cap. The wire is only clipped in, so pull on it with some force to remove it.
    4) Next you should remove the other brown wire from the clips, so that you have a small section of brown live wire no longer attached to the clips. This piece of wire is no longer needed, but keep it in a safe place for if you need to reverse the process if this does not work (it should)
    5) Now attach the original brown live wire that came from the mains into the clip which you just removed the small brown wire from. (not the part that was going into the white cap)
    6) This should bypass the water flow switch and should allow the filament to heat.
    7) Then reassemble the pod the way you disassembled it and the water should now heat up when attached to the spa.

Help with removing heating element on TheraPure Spa

Why?
is it bad and you want to see if you can replace just the element from the heater assembly unit?
I don't think you can do that.
Intex does not sell just the elements.
These toys don't have replaceable or repairable parts.
They were not made with quality in mind, therefore not expected to last long. They want you to replace the complete power center.

Reflections Spa will not heat

Take a Multimeter and measure the voltage at the heater element. If it is getting voltage either 120v or 240v depending on the voltage to the spa, you've got a bad heating element

I have a 700 litre outside spa pool with a 1 kwt heater.I only turned it on today but the suitable tempiture of 37 celcius (about 100 oF )cannot be obtained. It has been on for 12 hours today.

A 1 Kilowat heater is very small and 1/6th the size that you would use on a 300 gallon spa. Theres a good chance one or more of 3 things are happening.
-Heater is undersized
-Not enough water flow through the heating element
-Calcium or salt build-up on the heating element.

Replace the element, and do ot with a 2-3KW heater at least if your spa pak will allow for it.

Caldera spas hot tub Olympic model blows circuit breaker trying to heat up

Remove all pwoer and then gain access to the heater probe. Read each probe from the center connector treminal to the metal base with an Ohm meter. There should be no reading. If you have low reistance the probe is internally shorted and will need replaced. It is a common failure for a heat probe. If the probe is bad when you do buy a replacement buy the "Coated" element. The extra $15.00 is well worth the investment in the overall lifetime of heating element service.

Lay z spa water pump is faulty where can I get a

Hi Im Chris From BVL Elecric,
I cover Bournemouth and surrounding areas and supply solutions to most home electrical problems.
A lovely lady customer called me out today to diagnose faulty
LAY-Z-SPA
pump/heater that kept tripping the RCD.
After scouring the net and finding this same problem over and over again but no solution,I decided to get personal with the blighter!!!
RESULT:- problem solved,
Customer very happy,
no new parts fitted,
water heating fine now.
If you live in my coverage area, have a LAY-Z-SPA that is faulty,no or limited warranty then give me a ring and I will be only to happy to come on over and fix it for a small fee.
just think that dead spa/pool heater/pump could be heating your water again tomorrow and there is plenty of summer left to enjoy it.
You can find my details quite easily , just google BVL Electric Bournemouth
