Amana portable air conditioner ap095r does it need to drain water or evaporates on its own?

you need to empty the drain pan every couple of hours depending on the humidity level

Im an HVAC tech and my friend called me about an Apo95r amana portable unit. he said the warning triangle came on so he drained the pan of liquid out of the bottom. now its not blowing cold air any...

We recently purchased an amana protable ac - two weeks ago - this morning when we got up the condensor was not on but the room temp was high we looked at the unit and it had the temp readings at -7 26 etc...

sounds like the temp. sensor is bad

Hello we have an amana AP095R port air cond from a friend he says it does not need a condesate drain,and has it capped off.is that right?wish i had a manaul

I have the same ac. Manual says you must drain the unit, remove the cap every couple of weeks

I have lost the little black plug and now water keeps leaking out. Where can I get another one?

Check size of hole, perhaps same size (or close to ) as old style thermos plug, or frost plug for cars.

I Need an On-line manual, and does this unit have to be vented out a window or can stand alone in the room?

it must be vented or it will just recirculate the condenser air. (and never cool off)
