My mitsubishi tv is model 60705. The power cord was accidentally pulled out and I've somewhat tried to mend it back together. Still no power. I've even taken the bare wires plugged into the outlet and laid them on the receiving end prongs. Still no power. Any ideas on what this might be? Thanks.

Unfortunately you will need an experienced TV tech. This unit will need 2 ICs STK392-110 for 1 has shorted and caused damage to the 2nd as a result blowing 1 or 2 pico fuses in the power supply. It is an involved job and may be somewhat costly depending on the pricing in your area. Hope this helps

try pressing in both the menu and the input/device buttons together on the front of the set and hold for five seconds to see if the led blinks a two digit code. Then let me know the blink code.
My Mitsubishi Model VS-60705 did the same thing a couple of years ago...A TV repair facility replaced the Video card. Any repair facility that works on rear-projection TV's should be able to repair your set. I bought the set on Jan 1, 2000. Coming up on 9 years and the set works like new.

This sounds like one of the 9 volt regulators on the small signal board is going bad, supplying less than 8 volts. I have seen this is several of those sets. The IC needs to be replaced and if you do not have experience in servicing projection TV's then I suggest letting a qualified tech handle it for you.
