Please boot the computer on to Safemode and change the resolution. To do so,
1. Turn Off the computer
2. Keep on tapping "F8" key as soon as you hit the Power button
3. From the menu use arrows keys to select Safemode and hit enter.
try in safemode using f8, or else go to repair your computer in same screen and try system restore to reset computer to an earlier time. still not working then recovery is only option. use the alt+f10 keys on the system power up.
if you can boot into safemode, you may be able to do a system restore.During bootup, tap your F8 key repeatedly until you see an options screen, then choose safemode. When you get to the logon screen, logon as adminstrator and try to do a system restore, the reboot...goodluck:)
At what point does the system hang? Does it hang before going into windows - at the Windows Flash Screen? If so:
1. Restart the computer, 2. Press F5 or F10 (right about 2-3 seconds after the computer restarts and does the POST check) to get into SafeMode. 3. Once in SAFEMODE, Go into Control-Panel: System: Device Manager. 4. Go to Display Adapters and remove any extra drivers in there but BE PREPARED to reinstall the video drivers after.
QUICK NOTE If it is a video problem and u removed the video driver and Windows does not have the driver, you will default to a basic driver that's very limited. If u get into windows with this basic driver u have solved the problem.
Then reinstall the original video drivers for ur card.
---------------
After that: 1. Do a Disk Cleanup 2. Run A Virus Scan
its a little problem without the windows disk but try this steps.
Turn on the computer-while booting press the F8 key until you have an option to choose safemode.
then choose safemode, once on the safemode, if you have install somoething on your computer, try to uninstall it, if not then on the safemode try to back up your files.Scan for viruses and spyware.
If this may not work then I suggest you get a windows setup disk.
Hi aman10
when you switch on your laptop before windows logo POP-UP
try to press F8 and you should have list of menu to choose.
Try going in the safemode(The first choice). If you could get in the safemode(the process take longer to get inside windows),the first question is do you want to do system restore,
you should choose yes and select the back date that your laptop was working fine.Let it complete the process unitl it reboot again.
** incase still the same problem then try again and go more backward.
goodluck,takecare
