Kenmore Elite - 106.55606400 - Ice Maker is not working

My ice maker quite working a couple of months ago. After reading several of the solutions, I purchased a new motor module and installed it last night. When I put it in, it made one cycle of ice within the first hour and I figured that everything was fixed. When I checked this morning expecting a full tray of ice, it had not made any more than the one cycle. The beam is not blocked, I see no other problems. The tray is full of ice, but the motor did not turn the arm over to remove it from the tray. Here is one difference that I have noticed with the new part that I purchased:

Old Part: 260W-115V-60HZ 106 626663

New Part: 185W-115V-60HZ 106 628519

The parts look alike in every way. Do I have the wrong part? Why did it work on the first cycle and then stop?

Please help.

This is the replacement for the old one they stopped making the 260w

Check for cracks in the water supply tube from the house plumbing valve to the ice maker. Could also be the valve itself.

Turn off valve for a day to diagnose which.

Kenmore Elite fridge Ice Maker quit spitting out ice. There are ice cubes in the maker, but it wont release them to the bin

One thing you can do is clean up the condenser coils, the toe kick plate, and the area around the compressor to where the air flows better and it might start working.Other than that your ice mold thermostat inside the ice maker itself could be bad. They are not to hard to replace on modular type ice makers:

I have a Kenmore Elite 59969 and no ice

six weeks old / prob still under factory warranty . but ck the tempts in freezer it must be 15 deg of colder to work . so reset the control for freezer to the highest setting then back one.. this should help .

Ice and water don't work

This could be several reasons, water valve on back not working, thermostat in ice tray not working, heating element below ice maker not working, we just need to start with the dual water valve on back first. The side that feeds the ice maker needs the solenoid checked. I am ready to help you solve this, Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
