I've lost all maps & I cant get the sat nav to reset or give me the screen to tap in any postcodes

You Will need to go at your dealer to have your bcm reflashed

Some Sat Navs can't convert, If it's bought & set to UK & Ireland maps, then you are stuck. 2nd thing , even if you can use Europe Maps on your Sat Nav, you still will be unable, to load USA maps.
Sat Nav not compatable, You will have to buy a NEW ONE.

Hi, i think a possible answer could be missing power to the reader, if the reader is external.

On TomTom's Sat-Navs tap the Map if you have another Sat-Nav then im sorry i cant help you

If you formatted it while it was attached to your computer, this means you've also deleted all the unit's software plus the maps. You'll need to send it in to Garmin to restore the original software, and there will probably be a service charge for this.

try the reset button, first on it's own, then while powering on

It isn't the sats. They're fine.

Try resetting the unit. Use a paper clip to press the button in a small hole on the bottom.

Try to reset the sats. To do this:

Tap the satellite bars in the lower right-hand corner.

Then, on the next screen, tap the satellite bars in the right-hand margin.

On the next screen, select "Configure." Choose a different configuration. Tap "Done," then "Done" again on the next screen.

i cant get maps of the world for free i am dissapointed as i baught this sat nav ystem from a local store in swansea the sales assistant told me that it would come with maps for europe thats hy i baught one of you products i am not happy as the sat nav only has british maps the company wont take back my nav now please help!!!
