This memory loss issue sounds like a problem with the main board inside the TV. The channel memory should not erase after a power cycle.

You are probably loosing other custom programming like your Display and Audio settings. That is if you had modified something in these menus.

You may want to check to see if this is also happening by making a change in like the Display menu, and then turn the unit off and back on.

The TV has a one year warranty on parts and labor.

I got an American model of LG. i can not tune it by auto nor manual can you please help

You can get a manual here: http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-lcd-tv-32LG30.jsp . Click on the Support and then on the right hand side look for User's Manuals. Since the TV has a tuner for ATSC, NTSC, and Clear-QAM, the next question is what is your signal source? (analog, digital and unscrambled cable)

If you are using OTA, make sure that the input is set to Antenna. Use antennaweb.org or tvfool.com to check the direction to point your antenna and the appropriate antenna for your distance to the transmitter. antennaweb assumes an external antenna and is very conservative in the list of channels you should be able to receive. tvfool gives the stations available with different antennas. If you have several tvs connected to one source, you may need an amplifier in addition to the splitter. This also can help marginal signals come in since digital is either enough for the tuner to resolve or no signal. (Check splitters and amplifiers if you suddenly can't get a signal that you used to receive. Also check if the antenna has been turned.)

Menu > Channel > Auto Tuning or Manual Tuning. If Lock System is active, you will need the password. Auto Tuning only searches for digital or cable channels. The manual tuning option should provide the signal strength as well for digital stations (as well as letting you search for analog signals or all signals (digital, analog, cable).

Use the input Cable for coax cable connections. Other inputs will not allow you to search for channels since they are meant to be controlled by the set-top box feeding the system.

I hope this helps.

No picture just sound thru dish network

There are a few reasons that this could happen. The main reason would be that the tv is on the incorrect channel or input. You will want to make sure that if you are at TV1, the channel is on 3 or 4, and an input if needed, such as VIDEO 1 or 2. If at TV2, the channel needs to be on 60 or 73. Cabling is another reason this could be. You want to make sure that if you are at TV1, all cables going from the receiver to the TV are connected on the back of the receiver at the green TV1 location. For TV2, the cable needs to be connected to the HOME DISTRIBUTION output on the back of the receiver.

LG TV loses channels when turned off

Is your location prone to power surges or failures? Try plugging your TV into an uninteruptable power supply (UPS) (battery backup and line voltage conditioning). If that doesn't help, I would be suspect the unit has a problem with the internal memory.

I hope this helps.

I don't have a problem I have a question. I have a rotor antenna. I am in between NYC and Phila. If I autotune in NYC and want to turn my rotor for Phila will this tv allow adding of channels without...

Most sets with digital tuners do this. The best thing to do is manually save them into memory, unless they are the same numbers, this would keep the channels tuned until you go back to them

TV will not turn on to channel 4 everytime. I have a cable box and need the tv to remain on channel 4.

As long as the tv is not unplugged it should stay on the same channel when turned back on. If you have the tv plugged into the cable box, when the box is shut off it basically unplugs your tv and the tvs memory is reset. The tv should be plugged in to its own outlet or leave the cable box on and turn off the tv. If you turn everything on, cable box and tv, and have a picture, go into the tv menu and auto program the channels, it should only lock in on channel 4 since it will be the only channel the tv will receive.
