Try uninstalling the driver from add and remove program: epson printer software.

and we need to completely trash epson files on yur computer:

**printer should be directly hook up on your computer via USB if its on a network status monitor will not actually show up:

**is this the only epson printer that you have on your system? if it is then we can go ahead and delete registry info:

Now we need to remove specific references to the product in the registry.

1. Click on START, then RUN.
2. In the RUN window, type in REGEDIT and press OK.
3. In the upper menu bar click on FILE, then EXPORT.
4. In the window that comes up, SAVE IN should be set to DESKTOP.
5. In the FILE NAME section at the bottom of the window type in REGBACKUP.
6. EXPORT RANGE should have a dot next to ALL.
7. Click on SAVE.
8. Look at the column on the left.
9. Click on the “+” sign next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
10. Click on the “+” sign next to SOFTWARE
11. Click on the “+” sign next to Epson
12. Click on the “+” sign next to PRINTER
13. If you see a reference to your printer's model, right click and delete it.
14. Click on the “-“ signs next to PRINTER, EPSON, SOFTWARE, HKEY_CURRENT_USER to close up this branch.
15. Click on the “+” sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
16. Click on the “+” sign next to SOFTWARE
17. Click on the “+” sign next to EPSON
18. Look for a folder with the name of your printer model. Right click on it and Delete it (if you don’t see it, then don’t worry about it).
19. Scroll down and look for a folder named PRINTER and click on the “+” sign to the left of it.
20. Look for a reference to your printer model. Right Click on it and delete it.

Thank you so very much! I have only been trying to get my printer issue resolved since mid-Friday evening. It is now 3:15 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, Sunday morning! I couldn't rest until I found out what the problem was with my printer!

I am a nursing student, and depend very heavily on the convenience of having a computer and printer at home. This way I can do schoolwork at any time, day or night without a worry. I'm so glad I persisted until I found the solution.

I'm even more glad that this information was posted. It was very easy to follow. The directions were very clear. Although I have a fairly good working knowledge of computers, I am totally new to removing things from my registry. You made it a piece of cake to do. Thanks so much again! Take care, and keep up the great and helpful work! It's needed!

    Sincerely,

    alt02376

Windows xp sevice pack 2 product key

The Service Pack alone does not have a product key as such. It is an update for those that are running Genuine Microsoft XP.

If you mean Windows XP with Service Pack 2, then you need to purchase it from a reputable source such as Microsoft or a Microsoft authorised Vendor.

Need flash drive for my Windows 98SE

if it's a sandisk cruiser micro U3 2Gig flash stick God help you.

windows 98 se had serious USB issues and lack of support of any kind for USB 2.0

USB 2.0 can be done ONLY if you have USB 2.0 ports ( chip )

and ONLY if you have loaded XP professional 2002 WITH service pack 2 ,,, it's time to slap these vendors around for lying and lying about USB 2.0

the bright side is , it's not broken , more than likely an XP pro 2002 with service pack 2 will see the stick right off the bat

if that happens , then you know it's the fault of the computer that can't see the durn thing.

it's time to slap sandisk up side the head for lack of clear cut documentation on this issue.

for example my vista machine can't see mine anymore but my XP professional 2002 with service pack 2 sure the heck can.

that just goes to show you vista is stupid and so was windows 98 and aren't we all tired of this ****.
