Monitor How does one alter the monitor settings lighterr/darker

Your RGB settings has most likely been altered, resulting in some problems. Check your settings menu on the monitor itself and reset the settings to default. If that is not the problem, it's probably the computer's settings that has caused this change. You will need to go to the computers monitor settings and reset that to default to get back to normal colours.

Try altering your display resolution in all its variables.
If the monitor has a menu, try altering RGB settings, contrast and appearance settings. If this does not work, most likely a hardware screen failure.

Try to rebooth your computer and set the BIOS settings to last known configure. and restart you computer.

Hi this could be your printer aswell, your printer could be printing the colours in darker then it should, or if it is this Screen , then your screen is probably set too bright then it should making everything lighter and brighter

Right click blank screen and selsct properties the the settings are there just alter what you want. I think its the back round colour that needs altering...

sounds like backlight is failing,contact acer and see if its under warranty.

it is called phase you can attempt to let the lcd monitor auto set or you can disconnect the power over night then plug in and then do not auto set this default usually seems best some times

this is called phase it can be set auto by the button or you can disconnect the power and next day reconnect and leave it in default which can be better than letting the monitor try to set the phase.

So your sure when you go into the monitor settings, and color, it is set to like 9300k or something? It probably isn't the monitor, because the video games you said display just fine.
