I have a Nikon Coolpix 5900. I bought a 4 GB Kingston SD Card (SD4/4GB), but when I insert it into the camera it says This Card Cannot Be Used on This Camera. Any suggestions?

The Coolpix L110 can work with SD and SDHC cards up to 32 GB. If you bought a SDXC card, it won't work in your camera. I don't think Nikon will come with an update of the firmware, only for bigger memory cards, because you can shoot hundreds of pictures already on a 32 GB card. Also be sure the Lock switch on the side of the card is in the unlock position. Like the 64GB card on the picture.
Try switching the button back and forth located on one side of the card several times to unlock the the sd card, sometimes switch contacts become dirty.
There are no 4GB SD cards. "SD" cards larger than about 1GB are actually SDHC cards. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different electrically. Many cameras won't work with SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.
Your
camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 1GB. It simply isn't
capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is
incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.
Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 1GB capacity.
It could be one of two problems. The most likely is that the card reader you are using cannot read SDHC cards, of which all 4GB and larger cards are. Try using the camera's cable to download to your computer directly to the USB port. I bet you'll find that it works that way. The other problem could be (but not likely) that you are shooting on the RAW file format, instead of the jpeg file format. Most software cannot recognize RAW files, but jpeg is pretty universal.
