No. HDMI cables use the RGB and sync on separate connection pins on the cable. RCA cables use the whole composite picture TV signal on the cable.

It's not a channel. You should select the input to TV to HDMI. Refer its user manual, please.

Fault with main board. Damaged component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

How do i connect my gateway 509GE desktop to my hd t.v.

Hello,

Does your PC have either a DVI or HMDI video connector on either the motherboard or the graphics (video) card? (In other words somewhere on the back of the machine?)

Does your HD TV have a DVI or HMDI connector on it?

If the answer to both of these questions is yes then you can do it.

Most peoples first choice would be to use the HMDI connectors. If you wish to do this you will need an HMDI cable.

If you decide to use the DVI connectors then you will need a DVI cable.

If your PC doesn't have either the DVI or HMDI outputs then you will have to buy a graphics (video) card for you PC. Be sure to get the appropriate cable also.

Once you have the HD TV connected to your computer you will have to use the graphics card's software to set things up. If you right click in an empty area of the desktop this software should be one of the choices in the menu.
