The F buttons on my casio 9850G aren't working. I can't even reset it, as you have to push F1 to reset. What can I do?
You can use the hardware resetting procedure. There is a button on the back of calculator that you can press using a straightened paper clip.
If you do not understand the language of the answer or its content just ASK for clarifications. The picture identifies what calculators are concerned and the 9850 is among them. There is an arrow that point to a point marked P button. This is the one to press to RESET the memory. However if your calculator IS NOT a CASIO would you kindly supply the make and model number.
Now, I expect you to modify the outrageous rating you gave my answer.
Yes I read your question, even if I forgot that the procedure I suggested it required pressing the F1 key to carry it through. But I also read the RATING FAQ. And my
Like a calculator I need to reset my memory too. After doing so I did remember a way to reset the RAM and even to test all the components of the calculator (RAM, ROM,keys, etc.) that does not require pressing the F1/Trace key. And if a key does not respond during the keyboard testing you will know it is defective.

ok. Pull out your own casio-9850. Push the P button. What happens? Screen says: 'reset all memories?', 'push F1 to reset all'. This is the core of the problem, F1-button doesn't work! Only pressing the P-button will not reset the memory.
