Freezer temp is not cool enough, or the water valve is not working check if you have water in the door dispenser and inthat case your ice maker need to be replaced, always call a tech good luck

how old is your kenmore? it sounds like the Ice maker thermostat is broke it happened on mine

For the red light try removing or replacing your filter.

The ice maker usually has a make ice bar about it inside the freezer. The down position is usually on.

Check the line going to the ice maker for clogging.

need to verify that the water inlet valve on rear of refrigerator is good. take cord with aligator clips and put power to valve. if valve opens and sends water to ice maker then its good. your module on the ice maker might be bad.

the ice maker has an adjustment for the ice cube size.
take your ice maker out and then remove the white square cover
you will see a screw whit a - + symbols our it ours the + and that should solve your problem.
NOTE: if the water over low and end up on the freezer turn it back to the minus a little.

Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.
