Camcorder has a bad video head assy. you can try cleaning it and if it doesnt help then the video head needs to be replaced.

Can you see the menus and icons. If you can, but can't see what you're recording, you may have an image sensor (CCD) failure. See this link for Canon's service notice regarding this issue and your options.

it means a particular battery is low or out of the camera, which hold the date and time memory of your videos. don't worry it doesn't affect your any recording or playback of videos. I have one and is blinking from past one month. no issues at all.

Backup battery needs to be replaced. It's fitted behind a small square panel under the fold out LCD screen. The battery type is CR2025.

Never mind, needed an immediate fix so I just bought a new battery pack. All's working well.
