Camera does not work

I have an otherwise perfect Nokia 6288 apart from the camera/video functions. I have free memory storage both on phone and SD card. When attempting to take a photo, error message "operation failed" appears. The phone hasn't been dropped or anything spilt onto it. Can anything be done? I'll be upgrading it in two months but would like to sell it (with camera/video hopefully repaired).

Is there anyone out there who can help?

Hi,

I am having this same error message appear on my phone but this is not the camera its the messages on mine, i can't send or recieve any messages. Suggestions have been made to me that i do a master reset on my phone so you could always try the same thing. Everything will be wiped from the phone so make sure to back up files you want to keep.

How do i transfer pic from the internal memory to the memory card

www.kodak.com/global/en/service
FOR MANUAL DOW[section title] Choosing Internal Memory or SD/MMCCard

The camera offers two options for storing pictures and videos:

Internal Memory —Store pictures and videos in 16 MB internal
memory.

SD/MMC Card —Store pictures and videos on a card. The number/length
of pictures/videos depends on the size of the card. Purchase accessories at
a
dealer of Kodak products or visit www.kodak.com/go/dx6490accessories. For
storage capacities, see page 114.

Managing Your Storage Location Setting (after inserting the card with power
OFF)
1 Turn on the camera.
2 In any still or video mode, press the Menu button.
3 Press to highlight Image Storage , then press the OK button.
4 Press to highlight an option, then press the OK button:

Auto (default)—the camera uses the card
if one is in the camera. If not, the camera
uses internal memory.

Internal Memory—the camera always
uses internal memory, even if a card is
installed.

5 Highlight Continue, then press the OK button again.
The setting remains until you change it and applies to all camera
functions.

6 Press the Menu button to exit the menu.
NLOAD.

Nokia 6288 bluetooth

It could be that there is insufficient phone memory free to process the incoming file.

If you have a memory card in the phone, try moving things like images, video files or MP3s from your gallery folders to the memory card folder to free up some space in the phone memory. The 6288 has just 6Mb of internal memory for all functions, so it's important to keep as much data as possible on memory card.
