I've lost an outgoing line--inoperable

On two of our five phones where I tried to program a speed dial, not only does the speed dial no longer work, but on just those two phones, outgoing line #2 does not work--no dial tone, no light, nothing. So I must have done something wrong while programming. The manual is useless!

NEC DTU-8D-2 EKS. Can I program system or a phone button to grab an outgoing CO line and speed dial a number, then transfer an incoming call to that line/key?

Not likely. You are talking in a circle though.
A button to grab a Co line & SD out is no problem.
transferring the call back to the same key doesn't make any sense. Sorry.

Hello. I have a M7310 Nortel office phone. All of a sudden, the Speed Dial button will not work. In checking the phone, all the speed dial numbers are still programed in the phone, but again the speed dial...

What? They are either programmed or not programmed. If the button is blank, I'm voting for NOT programmed.

If your system is old enough, it's probably lost the backup battery. Ugly things, like pulse dial and only 2 lines are what usually happens, along with losing all of the button mapping but your 2 lines and the default programs of LNR, CONF, etc.

If it's just one phone, there's no magic recall. You'll just have to reprogram it. Same with the system if you've lost everything, but I"d call a repair tech first to fix the battery on the software cartridge.

When i pickup the phone i want the intercom to be my first option not a line out?

One of the following two methods of programming "Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing" should work depending on which Panasonic phone system your KX-T7433B phone is connected to. Try number one first, if PROGRAM 99 does not get you into station programming, try number 2.

1) Press PROGRAM button then dial 99 to enter station programming. Dial 1, then press INTERCOM button to select Intercom as your Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing choice. Press AUTODIAL/STORE button to save programming. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lifthandset then replace in cradle to end station programming.

2) Press PROGRAM button then dial 19, press AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press INTERCOM button then AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lift handset and replace in cradle to end station programming.

I was storing some extension numbers and spead dial numbers and I must have done something wrong as anytime I pick up handset to make a call a 'reorder tone' message comes up on the display- this is before...

So don't pick up the handset :-)

There are some line preference and pickup dial programs that just happen to sit in PROGRAM 1x. My guess is that you have assigned an empty or invalid pickup dial code to the phone.

Try this first. Press PROGRAM and dial 12 ENTER. Is the Hot Line mode ON? If it is, press SEL and ENTER. Wow. That was easy :-)

Didn't work? Let's go for Preferred Line Outgoing next. Dial PROGRAM 19 and 3 ENTER. That makes the intercom prime (0 is none, 1 is idle line 2 (xx) is a specific line).

If you tried both of these, and still no joy, then it's time to reset the phone. The problem with that is you have to dial the code IMMEDIATELY as you're picking up the handset. Good luck with that. The reset code is 79# or 790.

Avaya 18D unable to make outgoing calls

Sounds like you changed your line selection. Changing line selection on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

enter **
press the lit line in the order you want the to be used, i.e. line 2 then line 3 then line 4 etc.
enter ** when finished with line selection
.
Press feature "00" to logout
Hope that helps

Need to program access code into phone line for long distance numbers

Does it work when you press speaker/hook and manual dial same fax number you are trying to program

It sounds like you are adding digit needed for outside line when it is in fact a direct/dedicated fax line, that needs it not (or vise versa).

Are you printing a report of rapid/speed dials that you set to ensure the number you put in is correct?

Clear speed dial/one touch settings

There is no way to clear the settings you would have to re-program the correct setting. Did you program one touch speed dial on the line buttons? I do not see how programming a speed dial could effect accessing the CO lines unless you re-programmed the CO line buttons by mistake. If so, you would need to re-program those soft keys to line buttons. The manual you have may not cover this? The phone you have can work on a few different Panasonic phone systems. If you need a more detailed manual you will first need to know which Panasonic phone system you have. The phone part number WILL NOT help you determine which phone system you have. There is a main control unit somewhere (basement, utility closet, etc..)
