The error disc usually means a dirty or bad optical pickup in the unit--DVD are more complex than CD etc and blu ray even more so.

Hi i got a Diamond DVD player DHT-5000 Home Theatre but it keeps saying disc err or no disc

it has a dirty lazer if you know how clean it by hand with ear bud and alcohol if not use a cleaning disc if still not working the lazer is out of alignment good luck
