BTW, it is not advisable to use battery power when transferring images to the computer, since if the camera runs out of power partway through, all images on the card may be corrupted. Use the mains lead - it is what it is for. Alternatively, transfer the images by using a USB card reader, and placing the memory card in that.
If you view this pics in the oc, the same thing? If your answer is YES, its possible that you have a problem whit the CCD
(Charge Coupled Device); this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines,
blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being
recorded on the camera's flash card.
Do you have windows xp for os ???? If so deinstall your printer on your computer and disconnect your usb connection.
First install the driver by putting your cd in your computer...Some product will tell you when to connect your usb cable to your computer...if not, make sure your driver is correctly install. After, reboot your PC and plug-in your usb cable and power up your printer....
Hi Ray;
Try uninstalling the Fuji software completely, through the Windows control panel. Don't use the supplied software at all. Make sure the camera is unplugged from the computer. Open "my computer" and note which drives are present. Now plug in the camera (still turned off) to the USB port. Turn the camera power switch on. Wait and see if a new drive icon shows up. It may take a minute or so. If you get a new icon (probably Fuji DSC or similar), you should be able to open the new drive and access the images through the various folders. If not, can you see images on the camera screen (when not connected to computer)? If yes, maybe a bad cable. If no, could be corrupted images on card.
With the camera turned off, connect the USB cable to the PC and plug the smaller end into the camera. The camera will turn on and display the selection screen for USB. Use the arrow keys to select the PC option and then press the OK button. The camera will be recognized by the computer as a removable drive. There are instructions available at our web site (http://www.olympusamerica.com/download). For editing and managing image files with a PC, install the Olympus Master 1.0 software from the supplied CD-ROM. After installing the software, connect your camera to the PC via the USB cable provided.
