I have a T3626 emachine that I replaced the drive.

check all your ground screws on the motherboard. If that doesn't work try booting it up with out the hard drive. if that doesn't work, pop out the BIOS battery and unplug your computer, let it sit for about a min. and put the battery back in and restart.

Cant boot my emachine 2984

Did you check the CMOS battery and the CPU fan. Those are two things that if aren't working the way they should be, then some computers will not boot up. Try this first then post a response if you still can't get it working.

Rebuilding emachine - windows 98SE

A C100 error is a registry error. I suggest that U format the drive and reinstall the 98SE. There are programs (bought) available that may fix this problem, but another perferred choice would be to purchase a XP operating system. Boot up on the XP cd and replace the 98SE with the XP. It's better, faster, prettier and more reliable.
