"Ld" indicates Long Drain: Ld flashes when the water level does not change after the drain pump is on.
depends on the following factors:
1-> the drain pipe could be longer than 8 feet
2-> the drain hose could clogged or kinked
3-> the pressure hose connection from the tub to the machine motor control could be pinched or plugged?
4-> and finally the pump might not be running well.
If you need any sort of help with the disassembling of machine tell me the exact model number and i can provide with some internal diagrams.Good luck with the machine. Please do rate my solution, also do post comments in case of further doubts.

you can use a shop wet vac on the drain hose to **** the rest of the water out then you can remove the hoses to check to see if anything is suct in hoses or pump-,mike

Hello there
LD means a long drain
it is taking longer than 8 minutes to drain out the tub
please check the following
First unplug the machine to prevent electrical shock·
Check wiring harness to ensure they are all connected and are not fried
·If needed remove the side panel and Check the hoses going to pump for clogs and all drain hoses and drainage system
· Check circuit board that controls the pump to see if any wires are burnt or have failed
once the faulty part or the clog has been cleared simply plug in the machine and press the cancel button and resume your normal washing operation
Hope this has been very helpful for you
Best regards Michael

On the Kenmore Elite Oasis He top-loading washer model #110.2806, to clear the drain pump of foreign objects:
1. Unplug the washer and disconnect the water lines and drain hose.
2. Remove the back panel from the washer. There is no need to remove the control panel or machine cabinet on this model.
3. Once the back panel is removed you will see the drain pump on the lower left under the tub. (This model has a circulating pump on the lower right. You check it the same way)
4. There are 3 screws that hold the pump in place. It may help to have the washer tilted forward just enough to give easy access to the screws. Remove the screws, loosen the clamps on the hose, and remove the pump. (Be prepared for a little water to spill out)
5. Clear the pump of any foreign object and reassemble in the reverse order .
I just did this with my own washer. There was a penny in the drain pump that was making a lot of noise. The coin was visibly "gnawed" around the edges. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and now the washer is rattle free!
